]]> We came across an excellent inforgraphic this week which explains how modern day burglars are leveraging popular social media platforms like Facebook to figure out if your house is worth robbing and to find out when you won’t be around.

 

Our take home points:

  • Don’t post up details of your new flashy TV’s / laptops etc.
  • Post up details about your travels only when your are back at home
  • Make sure set your Facebook preferences to share info with just ‘friends’ and not ‘friends of friends’
  • Turn off your the ‘automatically share your location’ function
